Energy Crisis

82% of the energy source used in the world is non-renewable. Fossil fuel alone covers 79% of the world energy demand. The trend of using fossil fuel is further increasing. So it is estimated that fossil fuel reserves will be exhausted in near future.
According to the survey conducted in 1984, it is estimated that the oil reserves can meet the world demand for about 25-30 years. But later on undiscovered deposits are estimated to be found mostly in middle east with capacity more than three times the present reserves. If all estimated oil reserves are discovered and developed it would be depleted by 2076 to 1984 AD usage rate. Along with the development of nations, the demand of fossil fuel is increasing. If oil usage increases at the rate of 2% every year it will be exhausted by 2037 AD. If the source is not conserved and alternative sources are not developed the world will have to face a big crisis of oil in near future.
